Position Purpose:
The RN Hospital Peer Review Coordinator & Data Analyst is responsible for coordinating peer review activities while also providing advanced data analysis, reporting, and trend identification to support patient safety, quality improvement, and Medical Staff governance. This role ensures that peer review processes are timely, defensible, data-driven, and aligned with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities – Peer Review Coordination
• Coordinate and manage end-to-end peer review processes
• Prepare peer review cases and documentation for committee and leadership review
• Maintain confidentiality and peer review privilege integrity
• Support OPPE and FPPE processes in collaboration with Medical Staff leadership
Key Responsibilities – Data Analysis & Reporting
• Collect, validate, and analyze peer review and professional practice data
• Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics related to peer review outcomes, trends, and turnaround times
• Identify patterns, outliers, and system-level opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Quality, Risk Management, and Medical Staff Services on data-driven quality initiatives
• Ensure accurate data submission for internal and external reporting requirements
Education/License/Certification Requirements
• Active RN license required; BSN preferred
• 5-8 years of acute care clinical experience required
• Experience with peer review, quality, or performance improvement required
• Demonstrated data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development skills
• Proficiency in Excel and healthcare data systems; experience with peer review or quality software preferred
