Job Title: Remote Civil Engineer (100% Work From Home)

Job Overview
Site Design, Civil Layouts & Drafting

Develops and oversees detailed site design and grading plans for various development projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory standards.

Performs site feasibility analyses and spatial constraints reviews to inform pre-development design decisions.

Utilizes AutoCAD and civil drafting platforms to generate structural layouts, elevation designs, and visual site renderings.

Conducts accurate material and earthwork take-offs to support project budgeting and pre-construction estimating.
Stormwater Management & Drainage Engineering

Designs and develops comprehensive stormwater management and drainage plans tailored to specific site topography and environmental requirements.

Executes detailed hydrological and hydraulic calculations using industry-standard engineering software to validate pipe sizing, retention basins, and runoff capacities.

Prepares complete technical documentation and drainage reports for regulatory submission and permit approvals.
Contractor Collaboration & Technical Project Support

Works closely with US-based general contractors and construction managers to verify that civil designs are practical, cost-effective, and buildable.

Provides technical guidance and engineering support during construction phases, resolving site inquiries and Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly.

Coordinates with multi-disciplinary stakeholders (architects, MEP engineers, and project managers) to ensure seamless integration of civil components into master development plans.
Required

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.

Professional Experience: 3–5+ years of active experience in civil engineering, with a focused concentration on site layout design, stormwater management, and US civil development standards.

Drafting & Technical Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; strong practical familiarity with specialized civil software (e.g., Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD) is essential.

Hydrological Calculation Expertise: Demonstrated experience performing manual and software-assisted drainage calculations and compiling formal engineering reports.

US Regulatory Familiarity: Solid understanding of US civil engineering codes, municipal zoning frameworks, environmental regulations, and contractor workflows.

English Communication: Advanced written and spoken English skills, capable of discussing technical engineering concepts clearly with clients, contractors, and project leaders.

Schedule Availability: Full commitment to working standard US Central business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CDT).

Remote Infrastructure: High-performance computer capable of running CAD applications, webcam, headset, and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
