Job Description
Troubleshoots and resolves computer workstation issues, both software and hardware related. Enacts manufacturer's warranties for equipment repair. Maintains tickets in Help Desk ticketing system, and updates tickets with appropriate current status on a daily basis. Provides accurate, scientific, and reproducible written details on tickets resolution. Helps Division prepare and coordinate project plans for installation of technology equipment. Maintains, upgrades, installs, or replaces hardware and software as required. Reports instances of server downtime, LAN/WAN connectivity issues immediately to manager and helpdesk team. Performs basic troubleshooting on LAN/WAN connectivity under the direction and guidance of telecommunications or network team. Produces a weekly status report to I.S. Manager summarizing work as well as outstanding issues.Position Title: IT Operations Specialist

Summary of Scope of Work: The IT Operations Specialist exists to protect the bandwidth of core engineering leads by taking full ownership of enterprise endpoint lifecycle management, advanced IT support, and baseline IT/OT incident triage. Operating as an experienced practitioner, this role ensures rapid resolution of technical issues across all sites, executes strict IT asset management (ITAM) protocols, and actively monitors network and security dashboards to safeguard the data center's 99.982% uptime SLA.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Advanced Helpdesk & Incident Resolution: Serve as the primary technical responder for enterprise IT requests. Independently diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network incidents across all physical sites, maintaining an average ticket resolution time of <48 hours.
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Execution: Maintain the definitive hardware and software asset registry. Coordinate system-wide hardware deployments (including OS standardization), monitor warranties, and execute secure hardware disposal/sanitization protocols.
Endpoint Provisioning & Security Enforcement: Configure and deploy enterprise laptops and mobile devices, ensuring all endpoints are enrolled in the company’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform and patched to the latest security baselines.
IT/OT Network Monitoring: Actively monitor audio and visual alerts across corporate and facility networks (e.g., CCTV, BMS interfaces). Perform first-level log extraction and diagnostics prior to escalating to the Tier 3 engineering team.
Identity Management Operations: Execute flawless user lifecycle tasks, including secure account creation, Single Sign-On (SSO)/MFA provisioning based on the principle of least privilege, and immediate credential revocation during offboarding.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT support, endpoint provisioning, and network administration. Proven background in executing hardware asset management and supporting complex facility or cross-site operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
Skills: Expertise in deploying, hardening, and troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Practical understanding of monitoring network health dashboards, parsing logs, and isolating faults across both corporate IT networks and Operational Technology (BMS/CCTV) environments.
Automation Mindset: Capable of utilizing enterprise AI tools (e.g., LLMs) to draft communications, parse basic troubleshooting logs, and accelerate ticket resolution times.
