Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable IT Support Tech II to join our team and help keep the technology behind our club running smoothly. This role will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist employees with their day-to-day technology needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills who takes pride in supporting a professional, fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and network access in accordance with established security policies.
- Monitor and maintain network security, helping prevent unauthorized access to systems, company assets, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate inventories of computer hardware, software, and IT equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, VoIP telephone systems, and audiovisual (AV) systems and connections.
- Coordinate with vendors to diagnose and resolve technical issues with desktop hardware, software, and other technology systems.
- Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve reliability, performance, and longevity.
- Assess departmental technology needs and assist with developing equipment and system specifications.
- Validate and approve VPN access for authorized remote users.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of desktop systems.
- Support the testing, implementation, and deployment of new applications, systems, and technology.
- Train and assist staff on the proper and appropriate use of hardware, software, and technology resources.
- Operate audio and video equipment for meetings, conferences, live-streaming, recorded events, and other club functions.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and break down AV equipment, including soundboards, projection systems, and web-streaming services for single- and multi-room events.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of audiovisual equipment and related technology.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues effectively.
- Respond to equipment issues, technology changes, and support requests in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
Technology is constantly evolving, and the software, hardware, network security, and data storage systems you will work with will continue to change. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development will be essential to staying current with emerging technologies and maintaining the knowledge needed to support the club effectively.
What You Will Get to Do Every Day
- Manage the day-to-day operation and performance of local area networks (LAN) and related wide area network (WAN) services in accordance with club policies and procedures.
- Maintain network security measures, including antivirus, spam protection, and access controls.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN connectivity and performance issues to keep club operations running smoothly.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 years of related hands-on work experience or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
- Enthusiastic about technology and willing to learn and stay on the cutting edge
