About the Function
Heritage is one of Diageo's greatest assets, helping shape the future of our iconic brands through the stories of their past.
The Guinness Archive, based at the Guinness Storehouse, is responsible for preserving, protecting and sharing the history of Guinness, Diageo's beer brands and Roe & Co Whiskey. As the only publicly accessible brand archive in Ireland, it supports brand teams, innovation, visitor experiences and cultural storytelling across the business.
About the Team
You'll join a small team of archive professionals and heritage specialists who work closely with Brand Homes, Learning & Development, Brewery Ambassadors and global brand teams to preserve our collections and bring our brands' rich history to life.
About the Role
As an Archivist, you'll help preserve one of Ireland's most important brand collections while making our heritage accessible to colleagues, visitors and stakeholders around the world. Combining archival expertise with storytelling, digital preservation and customer engagement, you'll help ensure our heritage continues to inspire future generations.
Role Responsibilities
Catalogue and preserve archive collections to recognised international archival standards, ensuring our collections remain accessible and protected.
Support the management and preservation of digital archive collections and contribute to ongoing digitisation projects.
Deliver engaging heritage inductions and presentations for employees, agencies and visitors, bringing the Guinness story to life.
Provide archive expertise and support to internal stakeholders, helping colleagues access historical materials and brand heritage.
Work collaboratively across the business to increase access to collections and support heritage projects that strengthen our brands.
This is a unique opportunity to combine professional archive practice with one of the world's most iconic brands. You'll contribute to preserving Guinness' remarkable heritage while helping shape how our history informs future innovation, storytelling and visitor experiences.
Experience / Skills Required
This could be the right opportunity for you if you have:
A qualification in Archives and Records Management (or are working towards one) together with knowledge of archive and cataloguing standards.
Experience in an archive, museum, heritage or visitor-facing environment.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage a range of audiences.
A collaborative approach with excellent IT skills and experience using digital collections or archive management systems.
Experience with Axiell Collections or similar archive management software would be advantageous but is not essential.

Together, we’re constantly learning and improving, combining the strength of our people, capabilities and iconic brands to raise the bar, grow and win. Wherever you join us, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute, make an impact and play your part in making life’s moments mean a little more.
