Make a meaningful difference to patients around the world. Our talented people are central to the future of Edwards Lifesciences, which is why our Human Resources teams help design, guide, and deliver inspiring experiences for our people. With a fundamental understanding of how to build a supportive community and organizational capability, you’ll deliver solutions to attract and retain talent. Your work will enable our teams to thrive as they help patients live healthier and more productive lives.
At Edwards, patients are at the heart of everything we do. As a Specialist on the HR Strategic Communications team, you will help bring HR priorities, programs, and employee experiences to life through clear, engaging communications that connect employees to what matters most. Partnering with HR leaders, communications colleagues, and subject matter experts, you'll support communication planning, content development, channel execution, and measurement across a variety of high-visibility initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented communicator who enjoys turning strategy into compelling employee experiences while helping shape how employees engage with key programs, priorities, and moments across the organization.
How you’ll make an impact:
Provide input to and execute communication plans and deployment schedules, coordinating with HR partners, communication leads, designers, channel owners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of communications.
Support the development and execution of communication plans by helping define audiences, key messages, channels, deliverables, timelines, and communication objectives.
Develop creative content by drafting, editing, proofreading, and formatting employee communications, translating approved strategies, messaging, and source materials into clear, concise, and employee-focused content aligned with Edwards’ voice, culture, and brand.
Build, schedule, publish, and maintain content across employee communication channels, including SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, newsletters, presentations, digital displays, and other approved platforms.
Assess stakeholder feedback, recommend content refinements, maintain version control, and ensure all communications align with approved messaging and content.
Maintain communication operations and infrastructure, including deployment calendars, templates, distribution lists, shared resources, project trackers, and workflow tools that support efficient execution.
Analyze communication performance metrics and audience engagement data, providing insights and recommendations to improve communication effectiveness, employee engagement, and channel utilization.
Adapt communications for diverse audiences, considering localization needs, cultural differences, and business context across regions to support enterprise and HR initiatives
Partner effectively across HR and other functions to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
What you’ll need (Required):
Bachelor’s degree and three years of communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related experience, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Experience developing, editing, and deploying employee, HR, internal, organizational, or change communications across digital communication channels.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, storytelling, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling employee-focused content.
Experience coordinating communication plans, projects, deliverables, reviews, deployment schedules, and content calendars while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong organizational, project management, and attention-to-detail skills, with demonstrated commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Experience leveraging communication metrics, reporting, and channel analytics to measure effectiveness, generate insights, and recommend improvements.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and modern digital communication platforms, including PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Viva Engage and/or marketing automation software tools like Marketo.
Strong collaboration, relationship-building, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, combined with a resourceful, innovative mindset and a passion for enhancing the employee experience.
Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
