Cook – Lunchtime Solutions
Location: On-site at Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools - Sacred Heart
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cook to join our school food service program. If you take pride in preparing nutritious and delicious meals, enjoy a positive work environment working with students, and want a schedule that supports work–life balance, this role is a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals by following provided recipes and ensure everything is ready for scheduled serving times.
- Support daily meal operations by assisting with forecasting, preparing special diet items, helping with special events, and stocking/serving menu items during service.
- Maintain food safety and compliance by following HHFKA serving guidelines, completing HACCP logs and production records, and monitoring participation trends.
- Keep the kitchen running smoothly through regular cleaning, organizing storage areas using FIFO practices, and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
- Contribute to team growth by helping train new staff and filling in in other roles when needed.
What You Bring
- 1 year food service experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
- Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
