The Town of Marana is seeking a Crew Lead with stormwater experience to work in the Public Works Department with the Street Maintenance Division. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working as a skilled landscaper responsible for vegetation control and/or culvert maintenance and supporting and upholding the Town’s cultural values.

Hours of operation: June 1 – October 1: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
October 2 - May 31: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
Mandatory rotating on-call.
Location: 5100 W Ina Road, Tucson AZ 85743
Expected Hiring Range: $23.42 - $28.69 / hourly
- Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range: $23.42 - $33.96 / hourly
- Performs routine professionally-skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
- Lead assigned staff; provides service to internal and external customers; trains other team members.
- Utilizes various techniques to complete and finish concrete or asphalt repairs: reads and follows specifications and works with other trades to meet Town requirements; performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment related to concrete or asphalt, in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Utilizes asset management software to track and manage work orders, work workflow, materials, and supplies. Call, clear, and document Blue Stake.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training.
- Over three (3) years in a closely related field.
- Valid Arizona Driver License.
- Class A CDL w/Tanker Endorsement or pesticides must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical including audiogram and pass a 50-pound lift test.
- Complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Over three (3) years of street construction/maintenance experience and stormwater, landscaping, culvert maintenance or a closely related field.
- Public Sector experience in municipal, county, or state government.
- Possess one year (or more) of experience in a Lead position.
