Procurement Manager Next Gen Program
The Procurement Manager leads strategic sourcing and supplier network transformation initiatives to enable Rowa's Next Gen Program, enhancing competitiveness, resilience, and scalability across BD´s Pharmacy Automation business.
The role is responsible for the coordination of sourcing initiatives with cross-functional teams, identifying, assessing, qualifying, and developing new suppliers with a strong focus to create a competitive, resilient, and scalable supply network. Leveraging advanced sourcing methodologies, supplier assessment frameworks, and robust project management capabilities, the Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role during the whole sourcing process of the Next Gen Program to ensure timely execution of required initiatives.
Working across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain functions, this role will establish governance structures, identify risks, and accelerate strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Director Pharmacy Automation and being part of BD's global Integrated Supply Chain Organization, the Procurement Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's future supply base for the Next Gen Program.
This role focuses on identifying and deploying suppliers with enhanced capabilities, developing supplier ecosystems and leading strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience while delivering sustainable cost advantages.
The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with global procurement teams and cross-functional stakeholders to assess supply markets, identify emerging suppliers, evaluate manufacturing capabilities, and lead supplier E2E sourcing projects from business case development through implementation and industrialization.
Key Responsibilities

- Drive market screening and supplier scouting for mechanical and electromechanical categories
- Conduct comprehensive supplier capability assessments covering manufacturing excellence, quality systems, financial health, capacity, technology, sustainability, and risk.
- Lead strategic initiatives and take ownership to drive supplier projects in the most efficient & effective way
- Source and deploy preferred supply base to product standards and requirements
- Execute supplier footprint optimization strategies.
- Drive supplier transitions from incumbent suppliers to higher-performing and more competitive alternatives.
- Build and maintain a robust supplier pipeline to support future business growth and sourcing flexibility.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, or Project Management.
- Proven success in supplier scouting, supplier qualification, and supply base optimization initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge in assessing and onboarding new supplier partners
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier cost structures, and industrial supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects across international organizations.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
