Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Director, Payroll to lead enterprise payroll operations for a large, multi-state healthcare organization supporting approximately 55,000 employees nationwide. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a payroll professional with strong hands-on Oracle Payroll experience who can balance operational leadership with systems optimization and continuous improvement.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Payroll will provide strategic leadership for enterprise payroll operations while serving as the functional payroll expert for Oracle Payroll. This position partners closely with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize system performance, improve processes, and ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations across a complex, multi-state environment.

ROLE
• Lead enterprise-wide payroll operations across a complex, multi-state healthcare organization.
• Provide strategic leadership to a payroll organization consisting of 2 Payroll Managers and approximately 40 indirect team members.
• Serve as the business leader for Oracle Payroll, partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to support ongoing system optimization.
• Lead post-go-live Oracle Payroll activities, including quarterly release testing, payroll validation, troubleshooting, and enhancement efforts.
• Drive payroll process improvements, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, and system functionality.
• Support the transition of additional payroll functions back in-house as the organization continues to mature its Oracle environment.

COMPENSATION
• $145,000-$160,000
• Negotiable signing bonus
• Partial relocation package

WORK ARRANGEMENT
• Hybrid position based in Brentwood, TN
• Regular on-site presence is required
• Fully remote candidates will not be considered
• Travel up to 20% of the time

• 10+ Years Of Progressive Payroll Leadership Experience Within A Large, Complex Organization REQUIRED
• Hands-On Experience With Oracle Payroll REQUIRED
• Experience Supporting Oracle Payroll After Implementation, Including Quarterly Release Testing, Enhancement Requests, Troubleshooting, Payroll Validation, And System Optimization REQUIRED
• Strong Payroll Operations Background With Experience Leading Payroll Teams REQUIRED
• Experience Serving As The Payroll Business Lead Or Subject Matter Expert Partnering With HRIS / IT REQUIRED
• Multi-State Payroll Leadership Experience In An Enterprise Environment REQUIRED
• Ability To Work In A Hybrid Environment With Regular On-Site Presence In Brentwood, TN REQUIRED
• Ability To Travel Up To 20% Of The Time REQUIRED
