Job Summary

As a Process Automation Engineer Co-op, you will design and deliver scalable automation that reduces manual effort and improves accuracy across the organization. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze workflows, gather requirements, and implement end-to-end automation solutions. The role involves building maintainable, performance optimized systems while continuously exploring modern technologies, including AI driven and web-based automation, to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify, analyze, and automate manual and repetitive business processes 
• Gather and translate business and technical requirements into efficient automation designs 
• Develop and maintain scalable automation solutions using Java, Python, .NET, SQL, etc.  
• Build object oriented, database driven automation with secure and efficient API integrations 
• Design automation workflows with a focus on maintainability, performance, and reusability 
• Support and enhance existing automation systems as requirements evolve 
• Evaluate and adopt modern tools and approaches, including web-based automation, testing frameworks, and AI assisted solutions, where applicable 

Key Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, C#, SQL, and object-oriented programming principles 
• Solid background in database design, optimization, and performance tuning using relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB 
• Experience building modern, user focused web applications and automation interfaces using frameworks such as React and related web technologies 
• Familiarity with API driven integrations, automation testing tools 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within agile, fast paced teams 
• Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
