Responsibilities
- Assist in the improvement of business processes by helping the team design, test and implement new data strategies and work flows across the company
- Build and maintain financial models to analyze unit economics, labor and food cost trends, and new store performance
- Write SQL queries to pull and validate data from our cloud data warehouse (Snowflake) for recurring reporting and one-off analysis
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, IT and Restaurant Systems teams to understand how store-level data flows through our ETL pipelines and into the data warehouse
- Maintain and improve existing Excel-based reporting and dashboards used across the FP&A team
- Support monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting processes across corporate and store-level P&Ls
Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, ability to craft complex formulas and basic financial models from scratch
- Proficiency using languages like SQL, Python or R to clean, reconcile and extract meaningful insight from large data sets
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments/stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving skills, curiosity to chase questions without clear answers, ability to communicate your findings and thought process
- Familiarity using cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Fabric
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts (how data moves from source systems into a warehouse and gets modeled for reporting)
- Experience with restaurant industry KPIs and an understanding of the metrics used to examine revenue and costs in a multi-unit company.
