JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Senior Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for critical indirect spend categories, with primary focus on IT, Professional Services, Contingent Labour, Marketing and Facilities. Operating within a highly regulated PEO/ASO/HR Services environment, this role partners closely with business functions to translate requirements into effective sourcing strategies, negotiate commercial and contractual outcomes, and ensure vendors meet TriNet's operational, financial, legal, and compliance standards.

This is a highly experienced senior level Individual Contributor leadership role that reports into the Global Procurement Leader requiring strong negotiation expertise, cross functional influence, and deep experience working with technology and services suppliers in fast moving, regulated service industries.

Essential Duties/Responsibilites

• Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership: Own end to end sourcing strategies for IT, Professional Services, Contingent Labour, Marketing and Facilities categories
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business demand, risk profile, and cost drivers
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned to TriNet’s cost, risk, and scalability objectives
• Lead RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards
• Supplier Negotiation & Contracting: Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and risk protections
• Collaborate closely with Legal on contract structure, liability, SLA frameworks, and regulatory considerations
• Ensure contracts align with TriNet’s compliance, data privacy, security, and regulatory obligations
• Drive standardization and disciplined contracting practices across categories
• Cross Functional Partnership: Act as a trusted partner to IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Security, Risk, and Business Leaders
• Balance speed, control, and risk in sourcing decisions within a regulated services environment
• Influence stakeholders without direct authority while maintaining strong governance
• Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure supplier engagement aligns with internal policies, risk assessments, and approval workflows
• Support third party risk management activities, including security, privacy, and compliance reviews
• Monitor supplier performance, commercial compliance, and renewals
• Financial & Operational Impact: Deliver measurable cost savings, value creation, and risk reduction
• Support budget planning, demand management, and forecast accuracy
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier outcomes
• Actively guide and mentor junior team members towards department success

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

Work Experience

• Typically 12+ years 12-15 years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement, with senior leadership responsibility required

• Strong experience sourcing and negotiating IT, Professional Services, and Facilities required
• Proven track record of complex supplier negotiations and contract structuring required
• Deep experience partnering with Legal, Finance, IT, Security, and Compliance teams required
• Experience working in highly regulated, services led industries required
• Prior experience in PEO / ASO / HR Services / Payroll / Benefits / SaaS enabled services preferred
• Background with organizations such as ADP, Rippling, Insperity, Paychex, or similar preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory, data privacy, and security considerations common to HR and payroll ecosystems preferred
• Ability to “hit the ground running” with minimal domain ramp up preferred
