WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, Technical Solutions, with AVP, you will:

• Support DAM implementation, configuration, integration, and data migration projects for clients across industries.

• Research and prototype innovative solutions to help clients explore new approaches to asset management, such as AI metadata generation or workflow automation.

• Analyze and map data structures, ensuring accurate transformation and alignment with evolving systems.

• Develop and execute technical workflows, balancing automation, scripting, and manual processes.

• Collaborate with DAM platform vendors, IT teams, and stakeholders to optimize integrations and system performance.

• Conduct quality assurance and validation for data, and system functionality.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, gathering input to inform data governance, workflows, and technical requirements.

• Advise clients and provide technical guidance and recommendations based on best practices and industry trends.

• Champion continuous improvement, sharing ideas, mentoring others, and refining methodologies.

• Occasionally travel to work onsite with clients, ensuring hands-on support and training.

• Embrace diverse perspectives and experiences, helping organizations navigate change with empathy and expertise.

As a Senior Consultant, you will also:

• Lead and manage migration, integration, and other technical tracks of DAM projects, which may include leading: scope, budget, timeline, approach, ongoing staff allocation, and client interfacing

• Develop and oversee technical direction and approaches for projects. Guide and train other project team members as needed.

• Propose, develop, and document new processes, procedures, best practices, tools for future projects

• Participate in business development by joining prospecting calls and supporting the creation of proposals for technical scopes of work

Your Experience (Required)

Data and migration. You have built and run the technical side of at least one migration effort for an enterprise platform (e.g., DAM, CMS, PIM, ERP, CRM). Our migrations are programmatic: you have written the scripts or built the repeatable process that extracted, transformed, and loaded assets and metadata at scale. Uploading assets through a platform’s interface, organizing folders, cleaning up spreadsheets by hand, or performing QC on someone else’s migration are useful experience but do not on their own meet this requirement. In doing that work you have handled: extracting from legacy systems through APIs, database exports, or file-system crawls; authoring and implementing field-level metadata crosswalks, working fluently in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and in CSV, JSON, and XML; normalizing against controlled vocabularies and deduplicating assets; reading and writing embedded metadata (XMP, IPTC, EXIF) with tools such as ExifTool; and verifying completeness and integrity with checksums, counts, and reconciliation reports.

Programming. You are proficient in Python. You write production-quality scripts against REST APIs to transfer digital assets and transform data. You write SQL to query and validate relational data, and you work in shared GitHub repositories using branches, pull requests, and code review.

Cloud. You have practical experience in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud environments, working with object storage, servers, and databases.

Integration. You are comfortable working with and troubleshooting integrations between DAM platforms and adjacent systems, even when you did not build them: reading API documentation and logs, testing endpoints, isolating where in the chain a failure occurs, and writing clear requirements and defect reports for the developers who will fix or extend the code.

Additionally Required for Senior Consultant

• You have designed and specified integrations between enterprise systems (REST APIs and webhooks, OAuth 2.0 and API keys), written the requirements and data contracts that developers built from, and validated the result. You can describe an integration in writing: data contracts, sequence of calls, error handling, and monitoring. You do not need to have written the integration code yourself.

• You have delivered at least one enterprise platform migration end to end and owned its technical design: chosen the approach and tooling, estimated the effort, and directed other engineers or subcontractors to deliver it.

• You have scoped and estimated technical work for proposals or statements of work, and contributed to how a delivery team does its work: templates, tooling, or documented practices.

Your Experience (Preferred)

• Experience with enterprise Digital Asset Management platforms such as Orange Logic or Aprimo, including their metadata models and taxonomies, asset and rendition structures, and bulk tooling, or hands-on configuration of one.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript.

• Prior experience as a DAM consultant, DAM manager, DAM application developer, or in a similar role.

• Deeper cloud experience: secure bulk transfer of large asset sets, least-privilege identity and access management and responsible handling of secrets, serverless compute, and a working awareness of storage, egress, and compute costs.

• iPaaS or middleware platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, Power Automate, or Zapier.

• Cloud AI services (Amazon Rekognition and Transcribe, Azure AI Vision and Speech, Google Vertex AI and Gemini) or large language model APIs for metadata generation, with a realistic view of accuracy and limits.

• AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate scripting, with a clear understanding of when to trust and when to verify their output.

• Digital media formats and rendition workflows, including image, video, and audio codecs and transcoding tools such as FFmpeg and ImageMagick.

• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

• Data visualization skills that turn technical findings into clear, compelling visuals for clients.

Salary

Based on your experience and qualifications, we will determine the role that best suits you. The information below is for reference.

• Consultant: The salary range for this position is $85,000-$115,000 based on experience.

• Senior Consultant: The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 based on experience.
