Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Cyber Operator/ Field Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

In this job, you will:

  • Coordinate/lead the preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of Program systems.
  • Perform technical tasks and demonstrate problem-resolution actions for the Program systems.
  • Assist the Program Integrated Logistics Specialist (ILS) with logistics support such as, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, kitting, Government Furnished Property/Equipment (GFP/GFE) inventory, and import/export
  • Provide input to the operational analysis and quality evaluation of products and their related performance and update metrics.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnoses of malfunctions and errors to eliminate problems in minimum time.
  • Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • This position will involve 25-50% travel to remote sites, including foreign travel.

Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future*

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • with 5 years of field engineering experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of field engineering experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of field engineering experience.
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
  • Must be able to obtain a US Passport
  • Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed

  • Electronics background
  • RF background
  • Experience with Linux operating system
  • Experience writing plans, reports, and procedures
  • Valid/Current US Passport

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
