We are now looking for a Manager, Reagents Production to lead our manufacturing operations in Vantaa, Finland.
Your future challenge
As Manager, Reagents Production, you will lead a collaborative manufacturing organization responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic reagents in a safe, compliant, and efficient way.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the local production organization through two Team Leaders while working closely with colleagues across our three Reagents manufacturing sites. This is a highly collaborative leadership role where you'll combine operational excellence, people leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure reliable product supply while continuously improving our manufacturing operations.
What you will do
As Manager, Reagents Production, you will:
- Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing documentation standards.
- Lead and develop the production organization by coaching, supporting, and empowering two Team Leaders and their teams.
- Drive operational excellence through the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System, focusing on process optimization, performance management, and continuous improvement.
- Support investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and other quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, R&D, Product Management, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Partner with colleagues across the Reagents manufacturing network to share best practices and drive operational alignment.
- Translate business priorities into clear operational plans and ensure successful execution.
- Support strategic initiatives including capacity planning, sourcing decisions, manufacturing optimization, and the prioritization of sustaining initiatives.
- Foster a culture built on safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Who are you?
You are an inspiring people leader who enjoys developing teams while driving operational performance. You combine a structured and analytical mindset with excellent communication skills and thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
We believe you have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience within cGMP-regulated manufacturing, preferably in diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or another highly regulated industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing leadership role with responsibility for leading front-line managers.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, investigations, CAPAs, change control, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working successfully in cross-functional and matrix organizations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and spoken Finnish and English.
The following are considered an advantage:
- Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites or within a global manufacturing network.
- Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles or the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System.
