In forensic claims and investigations at PwC, you will resolve conflicts and manage claims and disputes for clients using a combination of forensic accounting, investigative, valuation and economic skills. You will provide services and support in navigating complex quantum disputes and mitigating potential risks.

Role description 

The Associate 2 role is an early-career professional position responsible for supporting the delivery of client engagements through analytical, investigative, and project support activities. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to address complex business issues, contribute to high-quality outputs, and support the efficient execution of engagements. 

Job description 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support forensic investigations and related assignments 

  • Analyse financial and other data to identify anomalies 

  • Collect, document, and assess evidence 

  • Assist in evaluating fraud, corruption, and irregularities 

  • Contribute to draft reports and appendices 

  • Support research, due diligence, and proposal development 

  • Participate in engagements, including supporting or presenting work where required 

  • Support the delivery of proactive forensic and fraud risk initiatives 

 

Operational Responsibilities 

  • Perform document collection, indexing, scanning, filing, and pagination 

  • Maintain accurate case files and working papers 

  • Assist with interview preparation, note-taking, and transcription 

  • Ensure confidentiality and auditability of all records 

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours, where required 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Relevant Honours degree (e.g. Forensic Accounting, Accounting, Internal Audit, Law, Risk Management) 

  • Interest in pursuing forensic-related certifications (e.g. CFE, FP(SA)) 

Experience 

  • 1–3 years’ relevant experience
