ESSENTIAL DUTITES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Report to work and clock in/out for scheduled shifts and required breaks on time and within PVGC golf department dress code requirements
- Maintain personal grooming in compliance with Club appearance standards
- Approach all interaction with Members, guests, and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented manner
- Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and respectful to Members, guests, managers and fellow employees at all times
- Greet Members and guests arriving at bag drop within 30 seconds
- Provide each Member and guest arriving with personal attention and ensure that their clubs are handled properly; address Members and guests by name
- Stage golf carts awaiting play and ensure that carts are properly equipped with scorecard, pencil, and full sand bottle
- Load golf bags onto cart at request of Member or guest
- Unload golf bags from cart upon completion of Member or guest round
- Clean golf clubs after use and store in proper location
- Ensure proper storage of golf bags in bag room
- Replace water buckets and club cleaners with fresh water as needed
- Clean spike cleaners daily
- Re-grip golf clubs as requested by Members or guests
- Pick driving drive. Clean golf balls and ensure basked are filled properly.
- Perform opening and closing duties of operating the bag room and outside service area at the start and end of each shift
- Maintain a clean and orderly bag room and outside services area at all times
- Assist golf shop with any other duties as requested; assist pro shop staff during tournaments
- Ensure all Members and guests have a pleasant golfing experience
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Dynamic outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive
- High level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier country club
- Problem solving, reasoning, and "thinking out of the box"; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests' needs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum one year related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of golf course operations
