About the Role
Join a busy multispecialty outpatient practice as a Practice Representative supporting front-desk and patient access operations.
You will welcome patients, manage check-in and check-out, coordinate follow-up appointments, and help patients navigate care across a variety of specialties. This role is primarily based at the front desk, with occasional telephone and insurance-related support as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Check patients in and verify demographic and insurance information
- Collect required co-payments and direct patients to the appropriate service area
- Complete patient check-out and schedule follow-up appointments
- Coordinate related diagnostic and laboratory testing
- Schedule specialty services, including tests such as stress tests and echocardiograms
- Reschedule appointments and help address patient flow concerns
- Prepare schedules, medical records, and other required documents
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient information
- Confirm prior authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications as needed
- Provide occasional telephone coverage and route information appropriately
- Communicate closely with patients, providers, families, and practice staff

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
- 0-1 years related work experience required.
- Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year experience in a healthcare or service/hospitality environment.
Pay Range:
$20.50 - $27.59The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
