PPG is seeking a safety-focused, experienced CDL Driver to transport products, materials, and parts between company facilities and customer locations. This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safe operations, equipment care, and dependable service. Drivers play a critical role in supporting our customers while ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations.

- Operates from 5 key locations: Richmond, VA, Dallas, TX, Bakersfield, CA, Salem, OR, Thomasville, NC
- Interstate carrier with nationwide operations
- Each location runs a hybrid Regional/OTR model
- Part of PPG Traffic Solutions, the largest traffic safety markings company in the U.S.
- Delivering Road Paint and materials to nearly every state DOT
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following reflects the primary responsibilities of the position. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailers to verify mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in proper working condition.
- Inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure and compliant with transportation requirements.
- Properly tarp loads as required.
- Tractor-trailers are safely operated between plants, customer locations, and other destinations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and vehicle service records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Position vehicles for loading and unloading, working closely with loading crews to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and equipment damage promptly.
- Maintain and submit Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs) to appropriate Ennis-Flint personnel.
- Inspect incoming materials and products for quality and damage.
- Verify that outgoing orders are accurate and free from damage prior to shipment.
- Complete daily forklift inspections as required (Moffett Drivers only).
- Crosstrain in plant production areas as needed to support operations.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the role.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required
- Flatbed driving experience preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Technical Skills:
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Comfortable with using Android or iPhone devices
- Experience with ELD systems and dispatch management software
Compensation:
Earn among the Top 30% of drivers nationally in pay.
- Paid via daily rate plus mileage
- Average 500+ miles per day
- $340 flat daily rate for assigned runs under 300 miles
