We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Development Planner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in planning and development while contributing to the successful delivery of projects across our operations.
About the Role
As a Graduate Development Planner, you will work closely with experienced planning professionals to support a range of development, environmental, and regulatory approval activities. You will gain valuable exposure to planning processes, stakeholder engagement, project approvals, and sustainable development practices within the construction materials industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the preparation and submission of development applications, environmental assessments, and regulatory approvals.
Conducting site investigations, data collection, and analysis to support planning outcomes.
Researching and interpreting planning legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Preparing reports, presentations, and planning documentation.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, and Environmental teams, as well as external consultants.
Supporting community engagement activities and stakeholder consultations.
Monitoring and reporting on compliance and project progress against planning approvals.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes and procedures.
Assisting with a variety of planning projects and administrative tasks as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Recently completed a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Geography, or a related discipline.
A current Australian Driver's Licence.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
A genuine interest in planning, sustainability, and the construction materials industry.
Experience or exposure to GIS software such as ArcGIS – desirable, not essential.
