Description
Position Purpose:
The Building Components Production Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate manufacturing of roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels according to engineered specifications, production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements. This position supports all aspects of building component production, including material handling, component assembly, equipment operation, quality inspections, and workplace organization. The Building Components Production Associate plays a critical role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and accurately while supporting the Company's commitment to customer service, operational excellence, employee development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Assembly, Material Handling, Quality Control, Safety and Compliance, Housekeeping and Organization, Teamwork and Communication, and Continuous Improvement activities including assembling components to engineered specifications, operating equipment safely, performing quality inspections, maintaining production standards, supporting inventory accuracy, promoting workplace safety, contributing to operational improvement efforts, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs and operational demands and may include tasks outside the employee's regularly assigned duties, provided such assignments are consistent with Company objectives and the employee's qualifications and training.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
Reports directly to the Building Components Production Lead or Building Components Production Manager. Direct Reports: None.
Travel Requirements:
No routine travel required. Occasional attendance at company training programs, meetings, safety events, operational support activities, customer service support, field repairs, product service work, and other off-site assignments necessary to support customer needs and Company operations may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive movements, ladder use, and safe operation around production equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to seasonal temperatures, wood dust, noise, forklifts, moving machinery, and fast-paced production schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred; ability to read a tape measure, basic math skills, follow instructions, work safely in manufacturing environments, and demonstrate reliability and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing, construction, building materials, component manufacturing, forklift, pneumatic tool, and OSHA training experience.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Education:
Technical, vocational, or trade school training related to manufacturing, construction, woodworking, or industrial operations.
Minimum Years Of Work Experience:
No prior experience required.
