Key Responsibilities
Material Planning & Supply Continuity
- Develop and execute global material planning strategies to ensure material availability aligned with customer demand and production requirements.
- Lead material requirements planning (MRP) processes and planning governance.
- Drive proactive shortage identification, escalation, and resolution.
- Ensure continuity of supply for strategic customer programs and manufacturing operations.
- Establish risk mitigation plans for constrained components, single-source suppliers, and supply disruptions.
Inventory Management
- Define inventory strategies balancing customer service, working capital, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory health, excess and obsolete inventory, and inventory turns.
- Implement actions to optimize inventory levels across global locations.
- Drive planning accuracy and inventory forecasting improvements.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement and Supplier Management teams to align supply commitments with demand requirements.
- Support supplier negotiations through demand intelligence and supply risk analysis.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Operations to resolve material challenges.
- Ensure timely communication of supply risks and recovery plans to stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within material planning and inventory management processes.
- Drive planning discipline through data analytics, KPI management, and process standardization.
- Leverage ERP and planning systems to improve forecasting, visibility, and execution.
- Champion best practices across the supply chain organization.
Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor a global team of material planning and inventory management professionals.
- Build organizational capability in planning, forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply risk management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Material Management, Demand Planning, Operations, or Procurement.
- Significant leadership experience managing global teams.
- Experience in complex manufacturing and electronics environments preferred.
- Proven experience managing material shortages, supply disruptions, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory control, demand planning, and supply chain processes.
