Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sundays as‑needed to support operations. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.
Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM/end of shift (flex as needed)
SUMMARY: You can expect your day to day to lead critical maintenance operations, drive safety excellence, and develop skilled team members while ensuring reliable plant performance. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment.
- Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel.
- Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment.
- Troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.
- Obtains quotes for project work and prepares written project justifications.
- Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
- Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment.
- Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
- PSM: Maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management Standards.
- Skill development of team members.
- Coordinate Team Member schedules handling time and attendance records, holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses. Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.
Experience: 3 plus years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred. Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.
Computer Skills: Elementary computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.
Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.

- Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
- No written warning in the past six (6) months
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months
