Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Accounting will be a dynamic leader ready to take ownership of our accounting operations and elevate them to the next level. This isn't just about closing the books; it's about shaping the financial narrative of a rapidly growing organization, mentoring future leaders, and partnering with business leaders to drive strategic outcomes. This role will own GAAP financial reporting; manage a team of accountants; and drive process improvements through automation, strong controls, and reporting tools. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a team of accountants; create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to analyze variances, identify trends, and deliver actionable financial intelligence to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and modernize accounting workflows using technology and AI-driven solutions.
- Guarantee timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting that enables confident decision-making at all levels.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, support external audits, and ensure robust internal controls and tax compliance.
- Leverage ERP and reporting platforms (Workday, Power BI) to enhance data accuracy and cross-functional visibility.
- Research, interpret, and apply new accounting standards and pronouncements; maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures documentation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on complex and judgmental accounting matters (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, stock compensation), providing guidance to the broader finance organization.
- Support M&A due diligence, system implementations, and other special projects as the business evolves.
- Present financial results and key insights to leadership and other stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear business narratives.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Deep expertise in GAAP reporting, consolidations, and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced expertise in Excel.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect financial data to broader business objectives and outcomes.
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading high-performing accounting teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to challenge existing processes and drive change.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex business processes and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to all levels in an organization and effectively coach and develop team members.
- Forward-thinking approach to automation and emerging technologies, including AI, as tools to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Unwavering commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professional excellence, both individually and across the team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing and developing team.
- Experience with Workday, Power BI, or similar ERP/BI tools preferred.
