Summary of Role:
Lead the team of drivers and the dispatch assistant, providing the support required for pickups, deliveries, and all operations related to the World Courier fleet. The professional must ensure appropriate communication with internal and external customers while guaranteeing compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.
The Lead Dispatcher is a strategically focused logistics leadership role that goes beyond traditional dispatch operations. This position will have regional responsibilities, and play a key role in overseeing transportation operations, driver management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
The role combines operational leadership, analytical thinking, and process optimization, with exposure to international transportation, foreign trade, inventory-related activities, and supply chain operations

Responsabilities:
- Supervises daily logistics and transportation operations to ensure the timely, compliant, and secure movement of materials, products, and medical samples across the supply chain.
- Coordinates transportation activities, distribution flows, and service execution to support continuity of supply, product integrity, and business needs.
- Prioritizes logistics activities, transportation resources, and daily operational issues to align service needs, risk considerations, and cost objectives.
- Monitors transportation performance, asset utilization, and tracking data to improve visibility, resolve routine operational issues, and support day-to-day decision-making.
- Ensures compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements across transportation and handling activities to maintain traceability and required standards.
- Recommends process, system, and partner improvements that enhance logistics efficiency, scalability, and operational control.
- Leads team performance, facilitates capability development, and leads workload alignment to support consistent execution of logistics and transportation priorities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, business administration, engineering, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Certifications:
Certification in certified supply chain professional, certified logistics, transportation and distribution, certified in planning and inventory management, or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or a related field required.
- 2 years of experience in a management capacity preferred.
- Experience in route planification
- Knowledge in inverse logistics, process and transport aplicable law and regulations.
- Experience and knowledge of hazardous materials transportation, including the safe handling, documentation, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation practices associated with dangerous goods operations.
- Experience managing temperature-controlled (cold chain) transportation, ensuring product integrity and regulatory compliance throughout the distribution process, particularly for time- and temperature-sensitive shipments.
