Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for designated business areas
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP)
• Perform account reconciliations and support the analysis of financial data
• Prepare and post customer invoices, supplier invoices and intercompany transactions
• Support VAT returns and tax reporting activities
• Manage fixed asset accounting
• Review and post bank transactions and credit card statements
• Assist with payment processing and cash management activities
• Process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and analysis
• Participate in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support finance projects

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a comparable field
• Initial practical experience through internships, working student positions or first professional experience in finance, accounting or auditing
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Knowledge of HGB (German GAAP); IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Basic understanding of VAT and taxation topics
• Strong affinity for systems, digital tools and process optimization
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Structured and reliable way of working with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility from an early stage
• Very good German and English language skills
