Description
C.H. Robinson is looking for a Security Operations Specialist to join our team. This role supports the safe and secure transportation of high-value freight. This role oversees day-to-day security operations, coordinates security escorts, conducts shipment risk assessments, and applies security protocols to protect goods in transit. The role works closely with internal teams and external security partners to maintain high standards of safety, risk management, and customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Protects the integrity of high-value products being shipped by consistently applying established security processes and protocols.
Liaises with local law enforcement, security contractors, and external partners to address security concerns and strengthen transport operations.
Continuously monitors high-value freight during transit using surveillance systems, GPS tracking, and other tools to detect and escalate irregularities timely.
Completes required data entry and confirms key Security Operations milestones, including departure, arrival, PODs, and related updates, using McLeod and other systems.
Ensures required paperwork, including temperature downloads, pictures, PODs, and other supporting documents, is uploaded to load documents and customer records to support billing completion.
Conducts shipment risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities along transportation routes.
Handles escalations related to suspicious activity involving customer freight.
Updates customer portals according to customer requirements.
Attends required training and staff meetings.
Maintains a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe working practices.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor with customers, visitors, and co-workers.
Adheres to applicable policies and procedures.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team and/or country specific requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
0-1 years of security, compliance, and/or customer service experience.
0-1 years of logistics experience.
Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and communicate drivers' temperature requirements, mileage, and hours of service during transit.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams.
Preferred:
College degree in supply chain or related field.
Knowledge of TSA and GDP practices.
Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical approach to problem solving.
Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with conflict resolution and escalated issue management.
Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professional judgment.
Advanced knowledge of the supply chain industry, including regulations and customer requirements.

Compensation Range
$29.18 - $46.25The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
