Description
Our client, a well-established organization in Downtown Toronto is seeking a talented Payroll Administrator to support the team with a ADP WFN roll out. This role is hybrid and working closely with a positive and energetic team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from Agency Managers and staff, providing guidance on payroll transactions, contract deductions, earnings, time entry coding, and accrual balances.
- Review and address inquiries received via the Payroll inbox, ensuring timely resolution.
- Process bi-weekly payroll in compliance with legislation, policies, and Collective Agreements.
- Audit payroll output prior to finalization to ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile third-party payroll remittances and complete Cheque Requisition.
- Review and verify employee changes entered into HRIS, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Reconcile HRIS and payroll system data to ensure accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
- Process all payroll requirements for new hires, rate changes, pay adjustments, terminations, ROEs, etc.
- Conduct year-end reconciliation and processing of T4 earnings and Employer Health Tax.
- Validate and process Form T2200.
- Review and reconcile pension contributions and finalize Member Data Collection reporting.
- Calculate and process Pension Adjustments.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of hours worked, following up with Timekeepers and Managers as needed.
- Correct errors resulting from hours upload to Payroll and take necessary action to resolve.
- Provide support with time entry and accrual updates.
- Coordinate with HR Systems to provide advice on Attendance Management policies and validate transactions.
- Coordinate with HR and pension providers for accurate deduction of employee contributions.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is required
- 5+ years of high volume and multi-union payroll experience (processing payroll for 500+ employees weekly).
- 5+ years of ADP Workforce Now is required
- Strong Canadian legislative requirements and CRA regulations
- Advanced Excel skills including vlookup, pivot tables, data manipulation, and analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills required
- Must display a positive attitude, be flexible, and be able to adapt to changing priorities
- Multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
