We're looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team and support employees and leaders across our manufacturing and office operations. This role offers broad exposure to all areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, training, employee relations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and HR operations. As a key member of the HR team, you'll serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees while helping drive employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
What you will get to do:
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional/salaried positions, from sourcing and interviewing through offer acceptance. Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and provide hiring recommendations.
- Ensure onboarding activities foster a positive and successful new hire experience.
- Partner with management and HR team members to ensure effective training, compensation, benefits, employee recognition, and leave programs.
- Support performance management initiatives, including coaching, employee development, and corrective action.
- Promote employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
- Assist with internal communications and employee events that foster a positive workplace experience.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support business decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Provide HR operational support while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, recordkeeping processes, and employment-related customer audits.
- Participate in HR projects that enhance processes, employee experience, and organizational performance.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus!
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, policy development, training and HR compliance.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervision or managerial experience.
- Experience providing HR business partnership in manufacturing, production, distribution and office-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems. Experience in ADP reporting preferred.
- Senior-level professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience working in a family-owned or privately held organization, with an understanding of relationship-based cultures, entrepreneurial decision-making, and long-term business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and effectively partner with leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining flexibility, responsiveness, and a positive approach to change.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, organizational development, training, and change management.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, process improvement, and professional growth.
- Ability to use sound judgment and contribute to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations.
- Interest and demonstrated potential for increased HR leadership responsibilities and career advancement.
This position is a regular full-time position located in our corporate headquarters in Saint Louis Park, MN. Relocation is not available at this time.
