How you can help shape the future:
As a Senior Finance Manager (m/f/d), you play a critical role in shaping and delivering the financial strategy for the Lingen Refinery. You act as a trusted advisor to senior business leadership, driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring a robust financial control environment.
You will partner closely with operational and commercial teams to optimize business outcomes, protect value, and support delivery of the refinery’s strategic and commercial objectives
Your new area of responsibility - challenging and future-oriented
Act as a trusted finance advisor to the Refinery VP, supporting strategic, commercial, and investment decisions
Drive financial performance and ensure delivery of economic and strategic targets
Lead interventions to address financial risks and performance gaps
Ensure a robust financial control and governance environment
Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with internal standards
Drive process simplification, digitalisation, and efficiency improvements
Build and develop finance team capabilities and future talent pipelines
Oversee delivery of core finance processes (forecasting, reporting, benchmarking, improvement plans) through activity integration across local and offsite (FP&A/FBT) finance and business teams.
Your qualification profile - profound and passionate
Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent)
Extensive experience (approx. 15+ years) in commercial finance, including financial planning, performance management, and business partnering
Proven track record in manufacturing, production, retail, or supply chain environments, with responsibility for financial delivery and transformation initiatives
Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of integrated value chains and financial control frameworks
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams, coaching talent, and influencing senior stakeholders
Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to assess risks, identify opportunities, and drive data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and work collaboratively across functions
Fluent in German and English; experience in energy, refining, or similar industrial sectors is advantageous
