Your Core Responsibilities
1. Hunting & Prospecting (The Thrill of the Chase)
- Identify and engage decision-makers (IT Directors, CIOs, Facility Managers, Business Owners) via phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Research industry trends to pinpoint hot prospects in Enterprise, SLED, Hospitality, Logistics, and Mixed-Use developments.
- Take event and trade show lead lists, slice-and-dice 'em, and build multi-touch email sequences in HubSpot that people actually want to open.
2. Deal Facilitation & Pipeline Building
- Monitor engagement, qualify interest, and transition warmed-up leads into solid sales opportunities.
- Assist with quote follow-ups and identifying upsell opportunities for existing accounts.
- Coordinate seamlessly with our internal quoting, engineering, and vendor registration teams to keep deals moving smoothly.
3. Data & Strategy Mastery
- Maintain squeaky-clean records of every call, email, and coffee chat in HubSpot and Halo PSA.
- Track and report weekly on key metrics: outreach numbers, meetings booked, pipeline value, and conversion wins.
- Bring fresh ideas and good vibes to our weekly team syncs!
Your Realistic 30 / 60 / 90 Day Roadmap
We believe in transparency, here is what success actually looks like as you get up to speed:
Days 1 – 30: Foundations & Ramp-Up
- Master Powernet product portfolio, value propositions, and key buyer personas.
- Configure tech stack: HubSpot, Apollo.io, and Genesys.
- Shadow discovery/cold calls with senior BDRs and Account Executives.
- Build targeted lead lists in Apollo and launch initial HubSpot outreach sequences.
Days 31 – 60: Execution & Pipeline Growth
- Scale outbound outreach volume to 50+ daily calls and active LinkedIn touchpoints.
- Master objection handling, call teardowns, and messaging refinement.
- Maintain strict CRM hygiene in HubSpot and conduct BANT/MEDDPICC-lite discovery calls.
- Convert warm leads into qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives.
Days 61 – 90: Optimization & Autonomy
- Achieve 100% of standard BDR quota (qualified meetings booked / SQLs created).
- Analyze sequence performance (open, reply, and booking rates) and run A/B tests.
- Operate full-funnel outbound prospecting cycles independently end-to-end.
- Participate in strategic account planning and review 90-day outbound performance.
Growth Potential: BDR to Account Executive
We are committed to investing in our team and promoting from within. For high-performing Business Development Representatives, there is a clear growth path into full-cycle Account Executive (AE) roles. Successful BDRs who master pipeline generation, sales qualification, and territory management will have direct opportunities to advance their career, take ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle, and drive revenue growth across key markets.
The Workspace & Environment
This is a remote position where you’ll collaborate daily via Google Meet, email, phone, and messaging. You should be comfortable working independently at a desk, managing multiple priorities, and occasionally rolling up your sleeves for extra hours during peak campaigns or key project deadlines.
