We currently have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Manufacturing Facility in Bellwood, Virginia.
ROTATING SHIFT HOURS
Nights
(12 Hour Shift - 2-2-3 Schedule)
Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor provides frontline leadership for a manufacturing production shift by driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while achieving production objectives. Partners with cross-functional teams to optimize productivity, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, develop team capability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Exercises independent judgment in managing daily operations, allocating resources, resolving operational issues, and leading hourly employees to achieve plant performance goals.

Leadership
- Lead and develop hourly production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance objectives.
- Build an engaged, accountable, and inclusive team culture through coaching, performance management, employee development, and recognition.
- Manage staffing, work assignments, and shift transitions to ensure efficient production operations.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop employees while addressing performance and employee relations issues.
Production Operations
- Direct daily production activities to maximize productivity, optimize labor utilization, and minimize operating costs.
- Execute production schedules by coordinating labor, materials, and equipment resources to meet customer and business requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve throughput, equipment effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate collection and reporting of production performance metrics.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion a culture of safety by enforcing safe work practices, investigating incidents, eliminating hazards, and driving continuous safety improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems, food safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory standards, where applicable.
- Drive quality initiatives that improve product consistency, reduce waste, and achieve plant quality objectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational improvement opportunities that enhance productivity, quality, cost performance, and employee engagement.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, warehouse, and other functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve manufacturing performance.
- Support inventory accuracy and material control processes to ensure efficient plant operations.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of progressive manufacturing or production operations experience.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, safety, and quality systems.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
