We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our Finance team for 6 months in our Brisbane office. This is an entry level, hands-on role where you’ll play an important part in keeping our receivables processes running smoothly and accurately.
You’ll work across payment processing, banking and receivables activities, remittance workflows and customer enquiries, collaborating with teams across the business. With a high volume of transactions to manage, this role will suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail and can confidently balance competing priorities.
With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:
- Maintain the receivables ledger and accurately process payment receipts.
- Complete banking and receivables activities, including refunds, RCTIs, daily balancing, direct debit creation and reminder notices.
- Manage the remittance automation workflow and team inbox.
- Respond to internal and external customer queries.
- Assist with complaints and dispute resolution.
- Work with customer service and other departments to support the effective handling of enquiries and claims.
- Communicate process changes or business interruptions to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide additional team support during periods of increased workload.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
What you’ll bring

- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service, communication and relationship management skills.
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Accounts receivable, credit control, data entry or reporting experience is highly regarded but not essential.
