Senior Product Designer – Perpetual Corporate Trust

About the Role

Help Perpetual Corporate Trust move more quickly from customer opportunity to validated digital product solutions.

As Senior Product Designer, you will bridge Product and Engineering, leading product discovery, experience design and rapid technical prototyping. You will turn customer and commercial opportunities into validated concepts, interactive prototypes and clear, development ready designs.

This is a hands on role with the scope to become the cornerstone of a sustainable internal product design capability. You will establish design systems, retain valuable product knowledge and intellectual property, and strengthen the design capability within the Product team.

You will be equally comfortable leading discovery workshops, conducting customer research, creating functional software prototypes and working with architects and engineers to navigate technical constraints. The role will also help establish responsible, repeatable ways of using approved AI enabled design and development tools. Using tools such as Figma and approved AI enabled design and development platforms, you will move ideas from early concepts to technically credible, development ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design practice enabling product discovery, journey mapping, experience design and product prototyping
• Translate customer needs and commercial opportunities into concepts, user flows and prioritised design hypotheses
• Create functional, technically credible prototypes that demonstrate journeys, behaviours and data interactions
• Partner with architects and engineers to design solutions that reflect technical, security and accessibility requirements
• Deliver annotated, development ready designs, interaction specifications, acceptance guidance and reusable assets
• Establish and evolve the product design system, component libraries and responsible AI enabled design and prototyping practices
• Support Product Team in facilitating client workshops and go to market activities.

About you

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Senior product design or UX leadership experience, with at least seven years across product design, UX, service design, design technology or digital product development
• Strong capability in product discovery, customer research, concept testing and workshop facilitation
• Advanced Figma expertise, including components, variables or tokens, libraries, prototyping and design system administration
• Demonstrated experience creating functional or technical prototypes, rather than visual designs alone
• Front end or full stack engineering experience is highly regarded
• Confidence working with architects and engineers, with the ability to understand technical constraints and translate designs into buildable solutions
• Practical experience using AI assisted design, coding, prototyping or modern product development tools, with sound judgement around security, privacy, intellectual property and quality
• Experience designing enterprise software, regulated products, financial services solutions or data rich digital products is preferred
• Bachelor degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or recognised certification in UX, accessibility, service design or software development is desirable.
