Location: Glenwood Springs, CO

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday - Sunday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
 

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide weekend daytime coverage in Glenwood Springs. This position is focused on maintaining a safe and orderly environment for customers, employees, and authorized personnel while supporting management with day-to-day security concerns.

The ideal candidate is attentive, approachable, and comfortable interacting with the public. This role requires someone who can maintain a professional presence, recognize potential issues early, and communicate concerns clearly.
 

Essential Responsibilities

Safety & Security

• Maintain a consistent and professional security presence throughout the assigned location.
• Conduct routine patrols of interior areas, entrances, exits, and exterior grounds.
• Monitor activity for potential safety concerns, suspicious behavior, or security issues.
• Help promote a safe environment for customers, employees, and visitors.
• Identify conditions that may require attention and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist management with security-related concerns as requested.
   

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to disturbances, suspicious activity, or other security concerns.
• Use professional communication when interacting with customers, employees, and other individuals.
• Request assistance from supervisors or emergency personnel when circumstances require additional support.
• Follow established procedures and post orders when handling incidents.
• Remain calm and professional during challenging interactions.
   

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports when required.
• Document relevant observations, security concerns, and significant events.
• Communicate important information to management and supervisors in a timely manner.
• Follow all applicable company policies and assignment-specific procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling security-related information.

• Ability to interact respectfully with the public.
• Ability to work independently while following established instructions.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Customer service or public-facing experience.
• Experience conducting property patrols.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and daily activity logs.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-management abilities.
• Ability to remain composed when dealing with unexpected situations.
