Description
Local CDL-A Driver (Roanoke VA Hub) – Pallet Jack Unload – ~$1,460/Wk Avg ($2.5K Bonus)
THE REWARDS & PAYOUTS:
- Weekly Gross: Earn an average of ~$1,370 to $1,530+ per week ($72k – $75k+ yearly potential).
- $2,500 Sign-On Bonus: Strong upfront payout ($500 on 1st load & 30 days; $250 at 60/90/120/150 days; $500 at 180 days).
- Activity & Mileage Pay:
- $0.53 – $0.58 CPM based on experience (~2,000 miles/wk)
- $55 per trailer unload (powered pallet jack)
- $20 stop pay (all stops including first)
- Full Benefits: Onsite 24/7 terminal support staff, full health insurance coverage, and paid time off (1 to 4 weeks based on tenure).
THE DAY-TO-DAY SHIFT:
- Home Time: Home daily after every overnight shift.
- Schedule: Overnight dispatch running 7 days a week (must be open to nights, weekends, and mandatory holiday surge weeks).
- Operating Footprint: Dispatch out of Roanoke, VA covering store drops in VA and WV with backhaul runs returning toward Indy (~4 loads/wk, 490-mile average haul).
QUALIFICATIONS & FLEET SPECS:
- Experience Required: Valid Class A CDL with 3+ months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 36 months.
- Drug Screening: Pre-employment DOT Drug Screening (urine & hair follicle).
- Unload Method: Unloading stores via electric powered pallet jack (training provided).
- Equipment & Commute: Slip-seat day cabs (no take-home equipment; daily personal vehicle required).
