Fidelity Manufacturing is expanding operations with the opening of our new McGregor, Texas facility, and we are looking for a Safety Coordinator to support daily safety activities and help maintain a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.
This hands-on, entry-level to early-career role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). Recent graduates, candidates with OSHA training, and individuals with manufacturing or industrial experience are encouraged to apply. The Safety Coordinator will serve as the onsite safety representative for the Texas facility while working closely with the Plant Manager and Fidelity's Corporate Safety Team to implement established safety programs, conduct training, support compliance efforts, and promote safe work practices throughout the facility.

Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator supports day-to-day safety operations at Fidelity Manufacturing's Texas facility. Responsibilities include conducting workplace inspections, assisting with safety training, maintaining safety records, supporting OSHA compliance efforts, participating in incident investigations, and helping promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
This position works closely with plant leadership and the Corporate Safety Manager to implement company safety programs and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
This role is well suited for someone looking to advance their career in manufacturing safety and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of workplace health and safety.
Essential Job Functions
Safety Program Support
- Assist with implementation and administration of company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Help identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in facility risk assessments and safety improvement activities.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion.
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities and safety initiatives.
- Support contractor safety compliance activities as needed.
- Maintain a visible and active presence throughout the facility.
Employee Training and Safety Engagement
- Conduct new employee safety orientations.
- Coordinate and deliver routine safety training using established company materials and programs.
- Assist with toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee awareness campaigns.
- Support Safety Committee activities and employee involvement initiatives.
- Encourage employees to identify hazards and report safety concerns.
- Provide basic coaching and guidance on safe work practices.
- Maintain training records and documentation.
Inspections and Incident Support
- Conduct routine safety inspections throughout production, warehouse, office, and outdoor areas.
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and communicate findings to supervisors.
- Assist with investigations of workplace injuries, near misses, property damage incidents, and safety concerns.
- Document findings and help track corrective actions.
- Support internal safety audits and compliance reviews.
- Maintain organized safety documentation and records.
- Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training documentation, and inspection logs.
- Assist with OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping requirements.
- Track training completion and compliance activities.
- Prepare routine safety reports and metrics as requested.
- Support safety-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with the Corporate Safety Manager regarding site safety activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience in safety, manufacturing, warehousing, construction, industrial operations, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and OSHA regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

- Internship, co-op, military, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or construction environments.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or other safety-related training.
- A desire to build a long-term career in workplace safety and manufacturing operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or industrial work experience.
- Associate degree or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections or safety audits.
- Experience delivering employee training or presentations.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
- Familiarity with safety management software and electronic recordkeeping systems.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires regular movement throughout production, warehouse, office, and outdoor work areas.
The Safety Coordinator may be exposed to:
- Manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Forklift traffic and material handling operations
- Welding and fabrication activities
- Noise, dust, fumes, and temperature variations
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas.
