Course Description: This course offers a focused introduction to procedural law and advocacy before the principal international courts and tribunals. Through targeted sessions built around case law from the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea, and the Permanent Court of Arbitration, students will develop a working command of the core procedural issues that arise in international litigation. The course will address matters of sources, jurisdiction and admissibility, burden and standard of proof, introduction of evidence, and interpretation. Each session pairs doctrinal analysis with practical application, asking how these rules shape the way arguments are actually constructed and presented.

TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
