Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Academy Credentialed in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions through accurate reports.
- Maintain readiness to perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site procedures, and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
