Senior Risk Manager (80-100%)

We're looking to hire a Senior Risk Manager within the second line of defense Risk Management function of Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A. (LOESA), with a primary focus on the coverage of Operational Risk Management (90%) and additional exposure (10%) to the management of other risk types (Digital Risks and Financial Risks).

YOUR ROLE:

Primary focus (90%): Contribute to the Second line of Defense Risk & Control Framework for Operational Risks within LOESA Europe:

• Promotion a sound risk culture and general attitude towards operational risks within LOESA Europe (trainings, awareness sessions etc.);
• Set-up and monitoring of LOESA’s risk tolerances and Key Risk Indicators;
• Developing and operating an appropriate risk control infrastructure, in line with the internal and regulatory requirements;
• Participation in the ongoing assessment and challenging of the Bank’s control environment and its efficiency;
• Preparation of the periodic reporting of Operational Risks to Authorized Management and the Board of Directors;
• Monitoring of logged issues & actions  in the Bank’s Operational Risk Management system and assistance in their implementation;
• Operational Incident management, monitoring and reporting;
• Participation as second line of defense in Risk and Control Self Assessments;
• Contribution to the New Business Initiatives Committee of the Bank;
• Regulators: Contribute to the regulatory reporting and the relation with the different local regulators (e.g. assist in preparation of the periodic reporting to the CSSF, onsite visits and similar);
• Analyze and implement regulatory changes in the field of Operational Risk Management in the Bank

Additional tasks (10%): Contribute to the Second line of Defense Risk & Control Framework for other risk types (mainly Digital Risks and Financial Risks) covered by the LOESA Risk Management function:

• Assist in the performance of daily and weekly control tasks in Financial Risk Management (Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, Liquidity Risk, etc.);
• Contribute to other tasks and deliverables covered by the scope of the LOESA Risk Management function in case of need.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master/ BA graduate in Finance, Economics or similar
• Minimum 8-10 years experience in a bank or a “Big 4”, ideally in a control function and/or with exposure to private banking and/or operations/technology
• Sound knowledge of the common operational risk management techniques
• Experience and knowledge of the operational processes in a Private Bank, with exposure to banking operations & technology/IT
• IT applications (Excel and Access advanced use, including sample techniques, pivot table reports, data crunching)
• Results-oriented
• Self-organization, autonomy and independent prioritization of tasks
• Analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Team player
• Advanced use of MS Office, use of IA based applications, knowledge of Operational Risk Management tools such as ServiceNow is an advantage
• English and French compulsory. Any other languages a plus.
