The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to the rest of Power Service. This will include code comparisons, design considerations, and process analysis.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Size and design pressure retaining vessels in accordance with ASME Section VIII code
- Answer technical questions for co-workers regarding pumps, pressure vessels, piping, and valves
- Run process simulations on Promax that will help predict the outcome of different process scenarios
- Create Excel programs that will benefit the company in various ways
- Run Inventor simulations that will model pressure vessel designs check calculations with the program
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant experience and knowledge required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel and Word, and AutoCAD/Autodesk program(s))
- Make and be responsible for decisions, while following established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Analytical skills, objectivity and organizational skills.
