Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

You will be a key contributor championing quality and performance for systems that power merchant transactions, focusing on driving improvements in system stability, throughput, efficiency, and control.

Working closely with Engineering teams and stakeholders across Finance Data Transformation team, you will help Engineering team deliver high-performing solutions through agile delivery models.

To be successful as a BA-PM, you should have experience with:

  • Project Manager experience – making and explaining the plans based on the project priorities.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle (from inception to closure) with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in translating business and operational needs into succinct requirements, and associated analysis and design articulation methods.
  • Ability to use effective questioning techniques to identify, analyse and address underlying business needs.
  • Good understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience with delivery workflow and articulation tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including advanced Excel (formulas, VLOOKUPs, macros), Word and PowerPoint.

Some other highly valued skills include:

  • Formal training in business analysis and management changes.
  • Understanding data integration concepts, including APIs and data transfer mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications and platforms.
  • Experience within the financial services industry.
