This Is What Your Role Looks Like 

As Legal Counsel Spain, you'll join our international legal team based at our headquarters in Hoofddorp. You'll be the legal point of contact for the Spanish market, advising various teams on a wide range of legal matters – from real estate contracts to Consumer Law. With your knowledge of Spanish law and an eye for risk, you'll directly contribute to our expansion and consolidation in Spain. 

Your Responsibilities 

• Advise the international & Spanish Expansion Team, the Real Estate Team, the Property & Facilities Team and Operations on their questions. 

• Draft and review leases and supplier contracts, with the assistance or guidance of more senior colleagues. 

• Identify risk and work with the business to set up and maintain legal processes. 

• Work on claims, liability cases, Consumer Law, Administrative Law (such as inspections from authorities), civil litigation and other issues relevant to Spain, in close cooperation with the business and your legal colleagues for other regions. 

• Support any potential corporate transactions and day-to-day corporate legal matters. 

• Assist our Compliance & Privacy Officer on privacy issues related to Spain. 

• Provide administrative support (e.g. contract filing). Manage our CLM tool and other legal tools/databases and ensure their reliability to the business. 

Who Are You? 

You're an action-oriented lawyer with a drive for results, hands-on and pragmatic. You're curious, open, friendly and highly structured, and you feel at home in a dynamic, international environment. 

Additionally, we're looking for someone with: 

• A completed law degree from a Spanish university. 

• Native Spanish and fluent English. Other relevant languages (FR, DE, NL) are a plus. 

• Approximately 3+ years of work experience, gained as a practising lawyer or an in-house legal counsel. 

• Experience with real estate law, procurement and/or consumer law.
