Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including sales, service, distributor, sales agent agreements
- Ensure contracts comply with all relevant policies and procedures
- Coordinate with internal departments (Sales Operations, Finance, etc) on contract issues
- Support the compliance function, including anti-bribery and interactions with healthcare professionals, as well as transparency and anti-gift regulations
- Support third-party intermediary management and due diligence
- Maintain and update legal department templates as needed
- Provide support to Associate General Counsel on a variety of projects as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Swiss law degree
- Admission to the Swiss bar or equivalent preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in-house, law firm or mix
- Solid experience in contract law
- Business-oriented person, with ability to work and coordinate projects with other departments
- Ability to prioritize and work independently under tight deadlines
- Exceptional attitude, strong work ethics and team player
- Fluency in English and either French or German (written and oral) required
- Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure
- In-house legal experience within a global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare organization preferred
- Experience in any of the following subject matters a plus (but not required):
- Data privacy
- Labor laws
- Healthcare compliance
