As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of custom millwork and cabinetry projects. You will work closely with our sales team and clients to understand project requirements and provide detailed cost estimates. You will also be responsible for reviewing project plans, conducting material take-offs, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in millwork and cabinetry estimating and be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to accurately estimate costs

• Conduct material take-offs and create detailed cost estimates

• Work closely with the sales team and clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate estimates

• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to improve project profitability

• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and lead times for materials

• Prepare and submit bids to clients within specified deadlines

• Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to the sales team and management

• Attend project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues

• Maintain accurate records of project costs and bid documents

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and pricing changes to ensure accurate estimates

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in millwork and cabinetry estimating

• Strong knowledge of millwork and cabinetry materials, construction techniques, and industry standards

• Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications

• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
