Bp's customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. 2. Job Purpose
- The Transition Lead will be accountable for successful delivery of transition projects for all sub-entities across C&P BTC through the complete lifecycle of Transition from scope identification to BAU
- The Transition Lead will ensure all transition projects in C&P BTC assigned are delivered on time, meeting business & technical requirements within the agreed budget
- The projects can be standalone or part of a work stream in a program with a higher degree of complexity and will require to be delivered through a team of Transition Managers and Transition Analysts and in certain cases through self-candidature as well
- All transition projects need to be delivered in compliance with the bp transition management delivery standard Responsible for people management for Transition resources in the C&P BTC.
3. Key Accountabilities
- Define transition scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Develop comprehensive transition plans and schedule timelines using appropriate tools
- Deliver a transition portfolio as per pre-defined milestones, leading timely completion of all deliverables whilst managing resources, deadlines and budgetary requirements
- Effectively communicate and manage transition expectations in a timely and clear fashion
- Review workstream plans, validate schedule, dependencies and resource utilisation
- Own management of stakeholder expectation alignment gaps and/or gaps in meeting business expectations
- Establish transition governance including all stakeholders and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
- Ensure all transition projects are maintained in a central share point tool
- Maintain rigor as per the predefined program/project governance and ensure reporting is accurate and concise
- Identify, flag and resolve transition risks/issues and potential conflicts within the project team - oversee the implementation of corrective actions and review current mitigation and recovery activities
- Identify and handle transition dependencies, milestones and critical path
- Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the transition
- Motivate change management efforts as an integral part of each transition
- Ensure all processes are thoroughly documented and reviewed for quality to support knowledge transfer and centrally housed and periodically updated for ongoing knowledge management
- Ensure periodic retrospectives are run as defined by stage gate methodology, continually analyse lessons learned and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Stay in sync with project management standards and register mandatory deliverables for quality assurance purposes
- Strive and encourage the teams to drive the usage of AI to enhance efficiencies and improve transitions and business outcomes
- Champion a culture of willingness and adaptability working closely with Change and Communication teams, addressing employee concerns in both sending and receiving locations to facilitate smooth adoption of new ways of working.

6. Qualification & Experience and Competencies
(What particular knowledge, skills or expertise are required before appointment of this post? How much and what type of experience is required to carry out this job at a fully effective level? What is the required educational qualification for this job?)
Essential Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Business Administration from a recognized Institute
- Trained and/or certified in PMP, Prince2, APM or equivalent
Essential Experience
- A minimum of 15 years total experience with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant Transition Management experience
- Relevant experience in BPO transitions (preferably in Finance, Customer Service, Retail Operations, Asset Management, Data or in the oil & gas industry) and in-depth knowledge of shared services operating model
- Experience in managing multiple teams and capabilities to deliver complex transition scope
- Proven track record managing multiple stakeholders effectively
- Experience managing virtual teams across multiple geographies
- Experience of working in fast-paced, high-demand, delivery-oriented environments
- Strong computer literacy and advanced user of MS Office applications (e.g. Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel etc.).
- Ability to apply thought leadership in providing services and solutions to customers.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of customer impacts
Desirable Criteria
- Six Sigma trained or equivalent
- Exposure in Agile tools/methodologies and digital transformation
- Vendor/Third Party management experience (including vendors, third parties, and sub-contractors)
- Experience managing delivery of business cases by monitoring costs and value delivered and intervening with corrective action when necessary to achieve commercial outcomes
