Hiring CDL-A Trainees – Get Paid While You Train

Salinas drivers know the 101 corridor better than most, this seat puts that to work across 11 western states. No matter if you're fresh out of CDL school or a seasoned pro, the same route and the same guaranteed pay are waiting for you.

The Numbers

• Trainee pay: guaranteed weekly, paid every week you're training
• Solo pay: $1,200 to $1,500/week average, line haul scale
• Top 25% of drivers: $1,700/week
• $1,000/week guaranteed your first 3 months after going solo
• Mileage bonus: up to $0.06/mile for qualified drivers
• Stop pay $15, plus $20 for assist/pallet jack/tailgate or $80 for a full hand unload

The Route

• 11 western states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, WY
• Most trips: 2 days or less
• Want more miles? Option to run beyond the 11 states
• 1,700 to 2,100 miles/week
• 100% no touch, 70% drop and hook / 30% live load-unload

The Training

• One-on-one mentor for your OTR training period
• Straight to solo mileage pay once you're cleared
• Requirement: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school

The Schedule

• Home every 2 weeks
• Day and night dispatch
• Weekends worked, holidays negotiable with your driver leader
• Some winter driving involved

The Requirements

• New CDL-A or 6+ months verifiable solo experience
• Teams welcome
• Valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, 21+
• Clean MVR, background check
• Hair and urine drug screen
