Supports the development and adaption of the assigned units´ strategy, and ensures implementation of respective programs and measures, for the organization assigned.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
 

• As Head of Adjacent Ventures, you will be accountable for delivering significant long-term revenue growth for Customer Services by identifying, building and scaling businesses beyond the core portfolio through strategic partnerships, venture development and mergers & acquisitions.

• You will own the Adjacent Ventures portfolio end to end, balancing investments across partnerships, internally developed ventures, acquisitions and emerging growth opportunities while continuously assessing strategic fit, commercial potential and financial return.

• You will identify, evaluate and prioritize adjacent market opportunities by monitoring customer needs, healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, AI and digital health, translating market insights into actionable growth initiatives.

• You will develop robust business cases for new ventures, partnerships and acquisitions, including market opportunity assessments, commercial models, investment requirements, financial projections and expected return, presenting recommendations to senior leadership and executive governance boards.

• You will establish and lead a global ecosystem of strategic partners, including healthcare providers, technology companies, startups, academic institutions, venture capital firms, governments and industry partners, creating mutually beneficial collaborations that accelerate growth and strengthen Customer Services' strategic position.

• You will work closely with Corporate Development (STMA) and business leadership to identify acquisition opportunities, perform commercial due diligence, assess strategic fit and support post-acquisition integration to maximize value realization.

• You will lead the incubation and commercialization of new ventures from opportunity identification through market validation, pilot development, business model design, commercialization and global scale-up.

• You will partner closely with Zones, Countries and Customer Services leadership to develop commercialization strategies, launch new offerings globally and ensure successful market adoption and sustainable revenue growth.

• You will establish governance, portfolio management processes and performance metrics that enable transparent decision-making, resource prioritization and continuous optimization of the Adjacent Ventures portfolio.

• You will represent Customer Services externally with customers, strategic partners, investors, startup ecosystems, industry associations and conferences, positioning Siemens Healthineers as a preferred partner for innovation and growth.

• You will build and lead a high-performing Adjacent Ventures team, fostering an entrepreneurial culture focused on commercial execution, customer impact and measurable business outcomes.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent combination of technical and business education is considered a strong advantage.
  • You have many years of professional experience in strategy, business development, corporate development, venture building, strategic partnerships or related commercial leadership roles, ideally within MedTech, healthcare or technology-driven industries.
  • You have a proven track record of identifying, building and scaling new businesses, partnerships or adjacent growth opportunities that have delivered measurable commercial impact.
  • You have experience developing executive-level business cases, evaluating investments and making strategic portfolio decisions based on market opportunity, customer value and financial performance.
  • You have experience leading complex global initiatives across highly matrixed organizations, successfully influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • You have a strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, venture development and commercialization, including commercial due diligence and post-investment value creation.
  • You possess strong financial, analytical and strategic planning capabilities, with experience translating market insights into executable growth strategies.
  • Experience in management consulting, venture capital, corporate venture capital or startup ecosystems is considered a strong advantage.

The base pay range for this position is:

$193,390 - $265,914

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
