Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Automotive Sales Porter to support our sales team and help deliver an outstanding customer experience. This essential role keeps our new-vehicle inventory looking sharp, organized, and ready for customers at one of Michigan’s leading dealership groups.
Responsibilities
- Maintains new-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary
- Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
- Keeps new-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
- Cleans driveway and sidewalks
- Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
- Makes key tags for vehicles
- Assists sales consultants by retrieving and staging vehicles for customer appointments, test drives, and deliveries
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Clear and valid driver’s license (licensed for at least 3 years with unrestricted privileges)
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
